The unique cultural experience, student clubs, housing options, scholarships, and career opportunities make Australia one of the most ideal places to acquire high-quality education.

If you are pursuing an academic degree in Australia, you have 4 different student visas: The Student Visa – Subclass 500, The Temporary Graduate – Subclass 485, The Recognized Graduate – Subclass 476, and the Post-Study Work Stream (see below).

Why Study in Australia?

Australia is one of the most popular destinations in the world for international students. Australia’s universities are internationally known for their exceptional reputation, premium training facilities, student support services and overall efficient education system. The education system is carefully regulated by the Australian government to ensure that it maintains its high standards.

Save On Expenses

Living expenses and tuition fees in Australia are significantly lower than they are in the United States or the United Kingdom, not to mention the available scholarships that will further lower the cost of your tuition fees (see Study Assist). These benefits make enrollment into Australia’s universities much easier for international students, allowing them to live, study and work in Australia while maintaining a good quality of life.

Take Advantage of Academic Opportunities

You will find a wide range of courses and degrees in top academic programs in science, chemistry, biology, geology, zoology and wildlife, accountancy, engineering, mathematics and more. You can take vocational studies and English language training as well. With such diversity it might even be difficult to choose!

Australia’s academic institutions are overall designed to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and develop your skills to help you succeed in your field.

Discover Paths to Future Careers

Considering Australia’s reputation, having an Australian qualification can attract potential employers in Australia or any other country in the world. Many vocational courses and degrees provide paths to internships and hands-on experience that will help you grow your professional network. Once you complete your studies, you might become eligible to live and work in Australia permanently.

Make Social Connections Easily

If you’re concerned about being the “odd man out” – you can take a breath of relief. Australia welcomes hundreds of thousands of international students every year (over 700,000 in 2019!), so you will definitely find your place in the crowd.

Enjoy Exciting Outdoor Activities

Australia is the place to go on an exciting adventure and try new experiences. Take a walk beside kangaroos on Kangaroo Island, swim with colorful fish in the Great Barrier Reef, discover rainforests and secluded islands, walk across golden beaches and dive into the deep blue waters of the ocean.

If you are more of an indoor person, you can enjoy a lively night scene, music concerts, sporting events, art centers and museums.
